Plain language, because you should be able to read this once and know where you stand.
What LandLookyLou does
LandLookyLou ("Lou") organizes information about Texas properties from official and publicly available sources — county appraisal districts, state agencies, utility providers, and public records. Every finding is shown with the source it came from, the date it was checked, and how solid it is.
What it is not
Lou is research support. It is not legal advice, title work, a survey, an appraisal, an engineering opinion, or a guarantee of anything about a property. Availability of information varies by location, and what Lou could not find does not mean something does not exist. Important results should be independently verified with the county, the provider, or a licensed professional before you rely on them.
Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for keeping your sign-in details to yourself. Accounts are for one person; please do not share them. We may suspend an account that is used to scrape, resell, or automate access to the sources Lou relies on, because that risks access for everyone.
The invitation-only beta
During the beta, invited testers receive a limited number of complete property reports at no charge. There is no payment, no card, and nothing converts into a paid subscription on its own. Features may change, and we may contact you about your feedback if you asked us to. Reports you have already completed remain available to you.
Fair use
Lou contacts county and state sources on your behalf, so there are reasonable ceilings on how much research one account can start in a short period. If you reach one, Lou will simply ask you to try again shortly.
